We two, known to close friends and acquaintances as "the Idiots" or, more occasionally, "that right pair of Idiots", have finally decided after much soul-searching to fully and unreservedly embrace the oft-resisted notion that photographers can also be Artists.
That is not to say of course that we now or ever would regard photographs
in themselves as Art. Oh dear no.
But that the creative process that contributes toward such a visual reproduction
may indeed be a form of Art. At the very least, an Artistic endeavour.

And so, to mark this momentous decision, we have decided to describe ourselves as "Photographic Artists".
Unfortunately that's rather a mouthful for the type of people with whom
we associate and so, purely for their convenience, we have agreed to abbreviate
it to the much more succinct, and entirely appropriate, term "PhArtists"...

And what we do is of course... PhArt. That should always be pronounced
"F...", er, yes, well. You get the picture. We hope.
